Use the TITLE search when you know at least the beginning part of the title of a work. The words must be entered in the exact order in which they appear in the title.
The illustration below shows results from a TITLE search in the full catalog for:
all quiet on the western front

Note that when the title words you enter match more than one item, the search results page shows all matches. Look at the column labeled "Entries" to determine the total number of matches. Then examine specific records by clicking on the links on the search results page.
To find a list of works by a particular author, use the AUTHOR search. For works created by an organization (such as Ohio State University or Ford Motor Company), the author is the organization. In library terminology, this is called a corporate author.
The illustration below shows results from an AUTHOR search for: king, stephen
Note that for personal authors, you must enter the last name first. When there is more than one match for an author name, examine the list of titles for each one in order to find the correct author. Sometimes the date of birth provides a clue.
