Ask: What else has this author published?
Library Catalog: Search in a large library catalog to find books written by the author.

For example:

Topical Article Database: Use a specialized article database (also called a periodical index) to locate articles written by the author. Choose one that covers the same topical area. Check your library's Web site to find databases that you can use for this purpose.

For example:

Use PsycINFO* to locate any articles published by the author of a mental health Web site.

Web Article Database: Use a free Web database to search for articles by this author.

For example:

Google Scholar
FindArticles.com (also called BNet Research Center)
MagPortal.com

Ask: What has been written about this author?
Web Search Engine: Use a search engine to find Web pages where the author's name is mentioned. (Be sure to search for the name as a phrase.)
