The objective of the course is for each student to produce a brief (typically 3-5 minute) video that includes voiceover narration, images, and music and that tells a story from a first-person point of view. The story may be about a personal or academic subject. Students may take the course as a supplement to another course in which a digital story is assigned as a project or may take the course on their own. Students in this course will learn storytelling techniques that can be used to convey information about academic or personal subjects; become familiar with the ethical use of information and materials in multimedia projects; and acquire visual, audio, and multimedia editing skills. |
