These courses use software called Carmen, which is also used by many other courses at Ohio State. To access the course Web site, you must first connect to the computer running Carmen, then identify yourself (log-in) by supplying your OSU Internet username and password. If you are listed on the course roster, you will be permitted to view it.

Follow the detailed instructions below to log-in:

1. Connect to the Carmen Course Server after the course begins: http://carmen.osu.edu

2. Log-in: In the boxes on the left side of this page, supply your:
   OSU Internet Username: This is the name.# that you use for checking OSU e-mail, registering for courses, etc.

   Example: doe.999 (NOTE: must use all lowercase and no CAPITAL LETTERS)

   OSU Internet Password:

3. View your personal Carmen home page. Any courses you are taking that use Carmen will be shown there. An example is shown in the illustration below.
   

4. Course Link: Click on the course title (for example, ARTS&SCI 120, Internet Tools and Research Techniques) to view the Web site for this course. You may need to click on the plus sign (+) next to the current quarter to expand the listing and see your courses.
